- I don't do a lot of SF and fantasy, but occasionally the mood hits me and try one to change the pace. The last time that mood struck, I chose some oddball writer named Martin whom I'd never heard of and a series of books under the rubric "A Song of Ice and Fire." Wow! Within two years, I'd read all of the "Game of Thrones" books, twice. What a find. And now this. So far, "Fear the Sky" is shaping up to be a masterpiece. Barnes and Noble, here I come. Sometimes, I love me and my unpredictable moods. This is great entertainment.

- 7:41:28. The scale of this story is really something. It must have been incredibly exhausting to write. Enjoying it so far, things are really starting to get interesting.
Give this book at least 5 hours before you give up on it.

- I'm only 1 hour in so no book review yet but I had to comment that the reader of this audiobook is excellent. It's the guy who read THE MARTIAN audiobook and he does a great job.
