- A wonderful story--and reader. I must say that Emma Thompson's screenplay (1995 Academy Award) was brilliant and greatly improved on Jane Austen in several, memorable scenes. Do see this movie if you haven't already! This gifted lady also plays the role of Elinor.

- MS. Savage reads at such a clip as to miss every nuance and to render the entire thing a mindless assemblage of fey, puerile generalization. Only dim-witted -Americans would take pleasure in the silly gloss this reader renders over the archly nuanced observations of Jane Austin. I venture to opine that she is everything aAustin rightly reviled and ridiculed about this class, and the irony grates. please pay your readers and maybe you'll get somebody with both perfect diction AND a brain.
