- What a fantastic book!
- excellent...........Weir did her research.......BTW- we already know the historical events and how they affected history............Mrs. Weird gives us HISTORICAL insight of the 15th century mind .......that took plenty work Thanks for the Upload =)
- The book is interesting though very shallow and considerably biased. It is certainly not a serious study in history but rather a collection of anecdotes. This is not helped by the reader, either. She sounds as fi she reads a children's book, making "stupid old man" voices when reading quotes (most of them belong to very important men who left their mark in history and made us what we are today) and back to the "once upon a time" serene mode. It is so out of place, especially in the context of the Elizabethan era, that the book sounds yet more shallow and superficial.
- thanks for sharing
- fantastically interesting!!!
- I hereby give up at about ten years into her reign. The political weirdness that resulted from hereditary succession to governmental power is interesting..................for a while, but a book seemingly whole dedicated to Elizabeth's diplomacy related to her and everybody else's marriage is a bit to frivolous to be worthwhile. But then again, I am a man and do regard these matters as moot, since they never matured into anything that affected history.

Folks, Liz never married and she used marriage as a diplomatic lever. End of effective story.
- Half a book . . . (Corrected)
- I'm loving this audiobook!
